We spent the last weekend in Ness City, KS filming a wedding for an awesome couple. After the shoot Friday evening as the sun was setting we drove the countryside. The Ness City area is rich in limestone so as you would expect our ancestors obviously made good use of it because there are literally ruins of limestone houses on every mile of the countryside. What are now piles of rock used to be the difference in life and death on the prarie and just thinking about the amount of energy and knowledge it would take to erect a home from hundreds of stones with nothing but your brain and muscles makes me yet again feel remarkably lazy. Photographing the world as it is now and thinking about how it used to be will always be a passion for me. I hope everyone enjoys these images! Have a great summer!
Oh and we are pretty excited about this wedding film so stay tuned!
